Radio Mahananda 98.8 FM, a community radio station was established with the financial help of Japan. The operation of Radio Mahananda was inaugurated by Bangladesh ex-minister Suranjit Sen Gupta.

Nachole (Bengali: নাচোল) is an Upazila of Nawabganj District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Nachole has a population of 97119. Males constitute 51.07% of the population, and females 48.93%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 47535. Nachole has an average literacy rate of 24.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.
